Cyprus Amathunta Half Marathon & 10 km is scheduled to be held on Sunday 23rd November 2008 and is expected to be once again a spectacular road race. The international road race will be held at Agios Tychonas, Limassol. Most of the field is expected to comprise of overseas runners, many of whom will be taking part in the event to sample the Cyprus hospitality. The course of the event is almost flat giving runners the opportunity to achieve a personal best. Both the start and finish areas are located at the historic ancient city Kingdom of Amathus. It will be a tremendously well organised event, and one thing you can be sure of is a warm Cyprus welcome! This stunning event is organised by NIKI Sports Management in co-operation with Agios Tychonas Community Board. The race is sponsored by KEO Group, the Cyprus Tourism Organisation, Spidernet Services Public Ltd, Cyprus Airways, and CYBC (Cyprus Broadcasting Cooperation). The choice of either the Half Marathon or the 10 km Road Race means that anyone can take part. Most importantly, never forgetting that running exists to be enjoyed, either alone or with friends.
